PRO BRERA

2025

PRO BRERA (Progetto di Rifondazone Occulta) is a collective of students from Brera that wants to try to reclaim their spaces in the Brera neighborhood, which is now constantly invaded by tourists. The plan is to settle in the underground tunnels of the area, which start from the Church of San Marco and branch out. The communication is twofold: on the one hand they try to demonstrate to ensure that the neighborhood is returned to the students, on the other hand, a communication system based on fanzines and stickers, tries to keep the students alive both in the tunnels and in the so-called "Safe Places" inside the neighborhood. The entire project is fictitious and tries to make people understand the problems of the Brera neighborhood and a possible (drastic) solution to ensure that it returns to the hands of the people who actually live in the area. The project was created during the week of workshop 1 of the master's degree in Communication Design at the Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with Unîmes.
